We got science fiction. It's a great genre but it was hard to develop a story. But anyways, there were 25 teams in the competition and we came in top 3!!! BAM!!! This is a rough sketch of our timeline- *Nov. 9 - Friday 5:30 PM- Got elements 6:00 PM- Ate some Taco Bell 7:00 PM- Wal Mart and bought Stars Wars ship 7:30 PM- Green screen test shots (failed) 8:30 PM- Research on sci-fi elements 9:00 PM- Thought about story ideas. Watch some videos. 11:00 PM- Action/ Sci-fi movie idea. *Nov. 10 - Saturday Midnight- Cancelled action/sci-fi movie idea. 12:15 AM- Research/Inspiration sci-fi stuff 1:00 AM- Developed another story 1:30 AM- Cancelled the story 2:00 AM- Developed another story 3:00 AM- Green light and outlined the story 4:45 AM- Went to sleep 8:00 AM- Cancelled the "green lit" story 9:00 AM- Developed another story 10:30 AM- Cancelled new story 11:00 AM- Brainstorm again 1:00 PM- Decided story about time travel 1:15 PM- Research time travel 2:00 PM- Several ideas developed 3:00 PM- Story developed with no script. 4:00 PM- Filming at library 6:00 PM- Started editing library scene 6:15 PM- Eat while edit 7:00 PM- Production design the apartment 8:00 PM- Filming INT apartment 11:00 PM- Editing INT scenes *Nov. 11 - Sunday 4:00 AM- Sleep 8:00 AM- Wake up and edit 11:00 AM- Shoot EXT/unfinished scenes and editing 3:00 PM- Finished all filming 3:05 PM- Editing/Music score/etc. 5:00 PM- Export finished movie. (failed) 5:30 PM- Export DVD in car 5:58 PM- Made deadline 6:10 PM- Screening of all the movies. 7:00 PM- Our DVD didn't work! Needed to go home and reburn, so I missed most of the films. 7:40 PM- Re-burned DVD 8:45 PM- Returned DVD and the movie played in front of the audience. SUCCESS!!! "N Audible" 48-Hour contest This was our submission into the 48-Hour Film making contest here in Austin. The rules: Friday night, we drew our category (Silent Flim). We were also given the rules: 1. Must use a character named Ed or Emily Kaye, Professional Organizer. 2. Must use a prop...picture, painting, photograph of deceased relative. 3. Must use the line, "Check this out. It's totally hot."
