Budgies everywhere!!! My first video upload. I have 30+ budgerigars and English budgies too. This list is in order of what is shown on the video: -Xerox is the first parakeet shown (yellow greenish one)in the first 10 seconds. He starred in a movie "A Woman Called Job". -Baloo is the gray English Budgie on top of the wooden house. -The two birds on the picture frame are Ryu and then Draco, an English Budgie. -The pure white English Budgie is Yentl. -The yellow-green pied one is Tazo. -The white-blue pied one hiding near the bottom right is an English Budgie named Paladin. -The golden face English Budgie on top of the hut is Paladin's full brother, Templado. -The laurel (dark green) English Budgie is Cassius. -The white-cobalt blue violetish budgie is Lucky. -The budgie that jumps down that looks similar to Templado, except smaller, is Katamari. -The dark green or laurel budgie that shows around the 1:50 mark is Artax. -The slate grayish budgie (not Baloo) is Mushroom. -The white and blue pied hen near Mushroom is Kaiyo, who unfortunately passed away on 7-28-08 from a tumor. -The cobalt blue budgie sleeping on the corner of the cage is Darian. -The larger yellow and green budgie with the spangled (interesting wing markings) is Omaddon. -The one inside the hut is Spider. -The two budgies on the ceiling fan are Mr. Blue (the white pied one) and his best friend, Quazi. -The last budgie pictured is Enna. She is a full-sister to Ryu, Darian and Artax. Her dad is Lucky. Two horny budgies mating like it's the end of the world :) Our budgies Boots (yellow) and Dotty (white) being naughty :) Funny thing is that Dotty was being sold to us as a female (hence the girly name). But it seems like it's a male after all, won't you think? :D Filmed with a Canon Digital IXUS 40 (Canon PowerShot SD300 Digital ELPH). UPDATE 8 December 2007: Because of the mating you see in the video we now have baby budgies! We have two females (the yellow female seen in the video and another blue female that you can see in the background in her nesting cabin) and both got 5 eggs with our white male budgie. The blue budgie got one baby out of the five eggs but it was already dead when it hatched (probably because she rolled her eggs to much and to hard). The yellow budgie got 4 babies out of the 5 eggs but unfortunately we discovered that the two youngest ones where dead when we checked her nesting cabin yesterday :(. The third and second oldest died today :(. It seems like 4 babies was to much for the young budgie mother who was nesting for the first time. Whe believe she only fed the first hatched and therefor oldest baby, the other baby birds got no food and died of starvation. It's very sad but nature can be harsh. UPDATE 18 January 2008: It's going very well with the oldest baby budgie that survived. Some days ago it came out of the nesting cabin and is turning into a healthy, playful and beautiful budgie. He/she has very rare colors for a budgie and looks nothing like it's parents with a black head and yellow, green, blue and black for body colors. Budgies in Love Grooming, Preening My pet budgies Jibijip (blue male - cock) and Jijik (white female - hen) were in love, they always groomed/preened each other everyday. I hoped they would mate and have chicks but sadly Jibijip died and was buried on Tuesday the 17th of June, 2008. He died of a problem in his digestive tract. I never ever planned and never will video record a bird mating or dieing. I don't think people should make videos like that. As it could upset some people. Rest in peace my dear sweet baby Jibijip.
