An Chúileann A song collected by Edward Bunting. thanks to him we have a lot of information, repertoire,playing techniques such a selective damping, tuning etc for the early Irish and Scotish Clarsach. he also organized the Belfast harp festival in 1972, where many of the last early irish harpers came to play. Edward Bunting collected many songs of this harpers.... without his contribution, possibly much of the early Irish harp music, style, finger nail technique, ornamentation etc would be ignored nowdays! here i play the song plus two variations on clarsach made by William MacDolald from Scotland. i hope you enjoy it!
