Ele é de Porto Murtinho/MS e atuou na 2 Guerra Mundial, fazendo parte do 9o Batalhao de Engenharia de Aquidauana/MS - 1a Cia de Comando e Serviços, e atualmente vive em Corumba/MS sendo muito amado e querido por toda sua família. A música é a Canção do Expedicionário, executada pela Banda da Policia Militar do Estado de Sao Paulo. FEB O Brasil na Segunda Guerra Mundial - Brazil at War-II BEF-Brazilian Expeditionary Force was shipped to Italy from July 2nd 1944 to February 8th 1945.In Italy, BEF became part of the 5th American Army, under the command of General Mark Wayne Clark and its first combat actions took place in early September 1944, at the Arno River sector, near the city of Pisa. In the last days of its offensive, BEF besieged and captured the German 148th Infantry Division (commanded by General Otto Fretter Pico) and the Italia Division (commanded by General Mario Carloni), reaching the Po valley and then heading northwest, to link with French troops at the city of Susa on May 2, 1945. Em 1942, é afundado vários navios Brasileiros da frota civil pelos paises Nazi-Fascistas, O Presidente Getúlio Vargas, simpatizante dos paises do "Eixo", reluta em não se envolver no Conflito; Em 1943 mais cinco navios da Marinha mercante são torpedeados, ceifando centenas de vidas. O povo exige uma resposta do Governo. O ministro da guerra, o General Eurico Gaspar Dutra aconselha o presidente, uma imediata decisão. A guerra é declarada contra o Eixo e é criada a Força Expedicionária Brasileira (FEB), O Brasil iria participar com um efetivo de 100.000 homens ao lado dos aliados, mas estava fora da realidade do nosso pais para aquela época além de inviável para o Comando aliado manter este contingente já que o Brasil não tinha equipamentos adequados para esta guerra. Então ficou acertado que o Brasil mandaria ao Teatro de operações no mediterrâneo 1/4 desse contingente, cerca de pouco mais de 25.000 homens. O General Dutra convida o General Mascarenhas de Moraes para Comandar a Divisão expedicionária (FEB), aceito imediatamente. Parte da Itália fascista já havia sido liberada em 1943, mais predominava uma forte resistência ao norte desse país, com grande valor estratégico aos interesses do eixo.Era, portanto, imperativo romper essa barreira.(denominada de "Linha Gótica"). Em 1944, o primeiro escalão da FEB sob o comando do General Zenóbio, segue para a Itália com um contingente de 5.000 homens, uma viagem dura e cansativa. Por questões de segurança a tropa não sabia seu destino. A chegada do primeiro escalão na Itália, é marcada por muitas dificuldades. Ao chegar ao porto de Nápoles, faltava os caminhões de transporte de tropas, prometido pelo comando aliado; Foi decidido então uma penosa caminhada 30Kms ao destino em marcha de estrada carregando mochilões, sem armas, e pior, com fardamentos parecidos com os dos Alemães, a tropa chegou a ser confundida com prisioneiros de guerra. Chegando ao destino, mais uma para a FEB, faltava barracas para abrigar a Tropa Brasileira, O General Mascarenhas de Moraes intercede junto ao Comando aliado equipamentos adequados aos Brasileiros. Os praças, logo se adapta a realidade de uma guerra. Enfim, são muitas as Histórias da FEB, é isso que tento mostrar neste "filmete". Espero que gostem, e passem a admirar a FEB como eu admiro.
