Pontiac Reinvents Itself: 2008 Pontiac G8 GT by Inside Line http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/FullTests/articleId=124876? The conversation went something like this: "Hey, Steve, come by with the Bee. Let's see how it stacks up against this 2008 Pontiac G8 GT." Motorhead Steve lives up the street. His dad was a Dodge dealer back in the 1960s. The guy knows option codes from the muscle car era like they're his kids' names and has a tattoo on his left forearm that reads "Mopar is Mom." More important, he just bought himself a screaming yellow 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee. We knew he wouldn't hesitate. Anonymous addresses itself Note: The mask part refers to facial coverings, whether it's a scarf because it's cold, or shades because it's bright out. A hat would be nice as well. A combination of all three would be desired. It doesn't have to be a Guy Fawkes mask, or a face covered in beige cheesecloth. We are all very familiar with the "we do not forgive, we do not forget" slogan that we throw around so carelessly, but the reality is: the collective beast that is anonymous tends to lose interest. To combat the loss of interest, we have set up future dates with certain objectives, including in-person demonstrations. This is good... this is progress. One thing we must note, however, is that we are losing sight of what needs to be done. The Distributed Denial of Service attacks served but one purpose: to gather attention. Now that we have gathered attention and raised awareness, we must look to others more experienced in this field. We must act responsibly while we still have some amount of credibility. Many of us do not take this seriously, do not believe it could lead to anything, but I say this is untrue. If we go about it correctly, it could very well lead to something beautiful. Earlier efforts by The Bearded One, Mark Bunker, were only limited in effectiveness due to general awareness of the problem. Anonymous is vast, we number many, and we are aware. We have made others aware. Should we choose to do as Mister Bunker asks, we would only improve things for everyone. A coordinated effort is required, but legally. Should we back Mister Bunker, there is no telling the breakthroughs we could make. Though anonymous professes to have no leaders, there are those that control the mediums through which we communicate, and they, like it or not, do play a part in direction of the legion that is anonymous. This brings us to the real-life demonstrations. Most of us are intelligent enough to wear masks. Many of us, however, are not intelligent enough to keep your cool. You may take offense at this, but you also know it to be true - there are many in this cause who are not socially skilled or graceful. The scientologists sent to harass you at the picket will not let you speak, and this will frustrate many, should they try. Thus, you are urged not to utter a sound. They cannot stop the public from reading your signs, your banners, or your flyers. There is a certain beauty to the thought of hundreds of faceless, silent people enduring the abuse of angry scientologist handlers. It will also help the public see them for what they are. Many of these actions are largely up to the individuals that comprise anonymous. In the end, it's up to you. robot generates a conception of itself more: http://www.mouseover.be it looks like a four-armed starfish, but so far it's unaware of its own shape. After flailing its arms for a while, however, the robot gets a sense of its design and begins to walk. The real feat comes when engineers remove a part of its leg: The robot senses a change in its structure and begins walking in a different way to compensate. The demonstration is the first proof that a robot can generate a conception of itself and then adapt to damage, a handy skill to have in unpredictable environments. source: http://sciencenow.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/2006/1116/2 http://ccsl.mae.cornell.edu/research/selfmodels/ Tags: robot generates conception of itself cornell Robotic Introspection Self Modeling Injury autonomous adapt to damage |
