Enjoy At Reticom films we are small but extremely talented group of artists, from many different areas, like fine arts, literature, CG, music and many others, all working together for one common goal, film making. Each artist is highly specialized in many skills, which make us capable to deliver the entire film by ourselves. Since is all 3D animation, we don't rely on a huge team of actors, producers, lightning crew, and many extras that are typical of live action movies. Either using the method that huge 3D animation studios have, where they divide a single job into many different fragments having a group of artists taking care of each fragment. Here each artist takes care of the full project, relying on other colleagues to just complement certain parts that might need masterization, we work in a very efficient symbiosis, one making the mess and others cleaning the crumbs, plus the benefit of having a more unified job. This also has an impact on the costs that goes way down, not to mention that the time that it takes to make also shrinks significantly, from months to weeks depending on the film length. At RETICOM our mastering tool is the computer, with it already being part of our everyday lives, on education, entertainment and many other vital functions including art. Even with digital equipment prices dropping drastically over the past years, still takes a certain amount of money to acquire cutting edge technology, and that's something that here at reticom we are still striving. Our artistic abilities clearly overcompensate the lack of High end technology from our studios.Our main goal now is to build a cutting edge DIGITAL ATELIER. An array of workstations connected to a main computer server (the renderfarm), cameras to witness the world with crisp 4K resolution, Motion Capture suits (MoCap) to capture the slightest change of body shape. Animate with our own body, the animator dream!! Currently we are finishing a short animation based on DKR by Frank Miller to use as a pilot to showcase our habilities at the storytelling realm, besides a few other projects in our minds just waiting to be released from the eruptive minds of our writers. :) Once we have all pilots done, we plan on submitting to various film festivals. At this time, we are looking for investors to help us start our artistic odyssey. Relying on the individual virtuosity rather than just a group effort, we believe that few but good hands at a project can be more efficient, faster, and ultimately cheapper, and commited to keep the high quality of HIGH BUDGET SUPER PRODUCTIONS. From the hardware to the software, here at RETICOM we have all the skills necessary to build our own workflow system and use it to capture the imagination of our artists.
