Norway: The Most Beautiful Country in World I haven't been to Norway yet but someday I will move there. Here is a slide show dedicated to the most beautiful country on Earth. This video shows beautiful scenes of Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger, Lofoten, Finnmark (my favorite), traditional Norwegian hytte, Trondheim, Hammerfest, Sami (Lapps), Kristiansand and many more. I spent hours trying to get everything just right like the symbolism, so if you open up you'll find a lot of symbolism. One of them would be that the flag after the mountains shows that Norway is a strong country. P.S Sorry for the bad quality the file is too big. Norwegian Jihad - Norway Nov 2007 By his own admission, Mullah Krekar trained units of suicide bombers in Iraq and founded a Taliban-style militant group. But all attempts to deport him from his safe haven in Norway have failed. After six years of protracted court cases, Mullah Krekar isn't going anywhere. He admits to founding Ansar Al Islam, a militant Islamic group recognised by the UN as an Al Qaeda affiliate. He's also called for foreign troops in Iraq to be murdered and those who disagree with his interpretation of Islam to be beheaded. "Sniper teams in Iraq have publicly declared their loyalty to Krekar and say he is their leader", claims terrorism analyst Lydia Khalil. But he's protected by the Norwegian constitution, which bans deportation to countries that have the death penalty. "A lot of people are very frustrated by what he's been able to achieve in Norway", states Khalil. There was reportedly a CIA plot to abduct Krekar. "That attempt failed because apparently somebody tipped him off". Krekar maintains he has ended his leadership of Ansar al Islam and now only offers spiritual guidance. But the UN allege he is still covertly financing Ansar al Islam. While Krekar resolutely defends his position, the case has prompted much soul searching in Norway. As the Director of Norway's Migration Department states; "It's made us question the whole institution of resettlement". Tags: Jihad Norway Mullah Krekar Ansar Al Islam Journeyman Pictures |

Narvik - Norway June 2008 In the sleepy town of Narvik, the global economic meltdown has caused havoc. Finding itself caught in a spiral of deceit and debt, people are considering leaving town as public services struggle to stay open. There seems to be no place, however small, that hasn't been affected by the downturn in the US economy. This small seaport town of Narvik is home to only 14,000 people but it has become another victim of high-risk sub prime mortgage lending. The local council agreed to this 'loan lemon' that was sold to them by an Oslo based brokerage company, which is owned by 78 different banks including Citigroup. According to the local political opponent to the mayor the town has lost "at least 200 million Norwegian krone (approx million)" and public services such as schools and nursing homes are facing closure.
