Code Black - Episode 1 Code Black is made with Garry's Mod, a Half Life 2 mod. The year is 2024, world is at peace after world war 3. The war costed the planet critical resources. And there was no more for another war. To prevent such events ever happening again, major nations such as the U.S, Canada, Russia, and others united and formed the Universal Peace Keeping Force (U.P.K.F.) Time was running short, and it was time to colonize other planets. Before they could, the Southrend Research Corporation was granted the rights to create creatures that would be placed on planets to see how they adapt and survive so more knowledge was put forth to colonizing planets... A rogue group called the Black Ghost in the corporation wanted something else. They wanted to overthrow the U.P.K.F. and claim power as their own. They created illegal subjects, the dangerous kind. Kept them hidden and faked reports on such monsters... An incident occurred in one of their secret labs, and the U.P.K.F. was sent in to investigate, unknown to what danger's was locked inside... Team Echo 6 was wiped out after being sent to investigate the lab incident of one of the Southrend Corporation unknown labs. When team Echo 6 unlocked the doors into the lab, horrible test subjects took their chance and escaped out the back door. While the U.P.K.F. leads an investigation into the death of their team, the Southrend Research Corporation is shut down. Days later, reports of attacks occurred in several towns, it was clear that what was attacking was from the lab. Military forces and U.P.K.F. teams were sent in to control the outbreak. In only a few hours towns were eventually overrun and the outbreak got worser.
