Time Alone - Eliane Elias Quiet Moments inspired by Eliane Elias Today while listening to the exquisite piano and voice of Eliane Elias, I was reading a book that began with a quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: "We are shaped and fashioned by what we love." And so the seeds for this small project were planted. I think one of the most important things we can do in this life is recognize and pay attention to what we love. Some of the things that occurred to me as the seeds for this project started to grow, are that I love: Time Alone Quiet Moments The brilliant piano playing and voice of Eliane Elias The flowers growing outside my window Paintings of pensive women and men Piano keys The calligraphic beauty of the written musical note Sunsets The sunset photo Jessica took between the paintbrushes on my messy art table Beautiful light What I have learned from some of the drawings and paintings from my sketchbooks Layers of color Layers of rose petals... All photos and paintings are originals from Casa Lucita. Except "The Necklace" by Terri Oates that graces the wall in my entryway and "Afternoon Nap" by Janice Lucier (who takes her rests on the wall in my bedroom).
