Beebebop's Visit to the Fodera Factory Beebebop's visit to the Fodera Factory to pick up the Beebebop Imperial Exhibition 6 bass guitar. My personal thanks to Mr. Vincent Fodera and his team for letting me capture their fine lutherie in action, creating probably the finest electric bass guitars in the world. Special thanks also to Mr. David Beasley of the Grooveshoppe for providing me with the invaluable guidance and advice in making my dreambass a reality. Video taken in November, 2006. Fodera VW Classic So 15min before I had to get onstage in Newcastle, a generous gentleman (Mark Palmer) presented me with his new Fodera VW Classic in Spaulted Maple- my dream bass! I played it on our tour bus and tried to remember some good ol' classic Vic Wooten tunes from long ago. Too bad I had to give it back! One day I'll afford this bass! Update: I was contacted about buying the bass by the new owner (not my buddy Mark). I bought a ticket to London to pick it up. Then the guy re-negged on the deal. Ass. WWTBAM - Brian Fodera Llamas Out Brian Fodera had a very short stay in the hotseat on January 20, 2000 (the show after Dan Blonsky won $1,000,000) and became the second person on the American WWTBAM to leave with nothing. For those who don't know, the term "llama" came from Robby Roseman, who was a contestant on WWTBAM in August of 1999. He was the first contestant on the show to leave with nothing. His question: "Hannibal crossed the Alps using what animals?" A. Rhinoceri B. Elephants C. Llamas D. Chihuahuas He used a 50/50, then guessed C, hence the term "llama" or "llama out". The answer was B, by the way. Robby would eventually bounce back, taking home nearly $500,000 by finishing 23rd in the 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event. And don't feel bad for Brian either, he would eventually come back and win $16,000 on a WWTBAM Zero Dollar Winners show on May 20, 2001. Not as much as ol' Robby won in poker, but he redeemed himself nonetheless. :) http://members.tripod.com/loogaroo/gameshow/wwtbam/jan00/bfodera.html http://members.tripod.com/loogaroo/gameshow/wwtbam/august/rroseman.html Tags: wwtbam millionaire owned loser 100 dollar question llama funny dumb stupid blackbirds plums regis philbin brian fodera |

WWTBAM - Brian Fodera Returns - Part 1 Brian first appeared on WWTBAM on January 20, 2000 and missed his $100 question, leaving with nothing. He came back on May 20, 2001 with others $0 winners on a WWTBAM Zero Dollar Winners show and won $16,000. Not bad. :) I had to do some heavy duty editing to get this posted. Firstly, if I had recorded from the show intro straight through to his $1,000 question, it would have taken well over 10-11 minutes. So when Regis first appears, I segue right into him showing the first FF question, which saves some time. After all the editing, the file would have been over 100 MB using my normal way to save files from Windows Movie Maker, so I lowered the quality a bit and got the file down to 21 MB. I apologize ahead of time for the less-than-stellar quality, but it still should be okay for most. Well, now that I got that out of the way, this is part 1 of his run which shows the show intro through his $1,000 question. WWTBAM - Brian Fodera Returns - Part 2 Brian first appeared on WWTBAM on January 20, 2000 and missed his $100 question, leaving with nothing. He came back on May 20, 2001 with others $0 winners on a WWTBAM Zero Dollar Winners show and won $16,000. Not bad. :) Part 2 is of better quality and shows his $2,000 question to his $32,000 question, which he walks away from.
