Difficult is worth doing: Honda Accord Live TV Ad 19 skydivers will have three minutes and 20 seconds to spell out the word Honda, inspired by the car manufacturer's new advertising strapline: "Difficult is worth doing". Organisers were yesterday hoping the weather in Spain would hold as the team practised. "There will be no time delay and no CGI [computer-generated imagery]. If it works, people will know who it's for. If it doesn't, they won't," said Ian Armstrong, Honda's manager of customer communications. The stunt is a means of gaining publicity for Honda's new multi-million pound ad campaign, which features 45 skydivers promoting the Honda Accord by creating a series of shapes over the Mojave desert to reflect new features on the car. The Cog This is one of the most amazing ads I've ever seen, truly a thing of beauty. Fully two minutes long, it's a Honda commercial called "Cog," the most elaborate Rube Goldberg device you've ever seen set to film, all made entirely of car parts. It required 606 film takes to get right. It's so perfectly filmed, you can't imagine it, you've just got to see it. Tags: The Cog Honda Advert Rube Golberg |

Honda's EVO6 : DigInfo DigInfo - (http://movie.diginfo.tv) Straying from their traditional style, Honda displayed their EVO6 to help create a new feeling of presence when riding a Honda bike. The EVO6 features a horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine coupled with an automatic transmission at the center of its minimum exterior, which was designed to eliminate absolutely any waste and enhance the allure of its compact body and stout chassis. The driving excitement and overwhelming power produced by the one and only "flat 6" engine and the styling that unleashes fierce individuality is it designed to attract riders seeking something "different" and define a new look for Honda motorcycles. Honda's New Enviro-Car ANCHOR: Honda has unveiled FCX Clarity, a slick, street wise, and environmentally friendly car. The sporty sedan came off the production line in Japan on June 16. It makes its debut at the July G8 summit in Hokkaido. Let's have a look. STORY: Fuel-cell vehicles are widely considered the ultimate longer-term alternative to today's conventional cars. They run on an inexhaustible and cheaper source of fuel -- hydrogen. They have no harmful tail-pipe emissions, and don't compromise driving performance. The main problems to become more common are a lack of fuelling stations and the high cost of development. The vehicle, which uses a lithium-ion battery, can run 620 km on a single fuelling. It has a top speed of 160 km per hour. The FCX Clarity will be sold through a newly established fuel-cell vehicle dealership group in the U.S. from July. In Japan, sales are set to start in autumn. [Sachito Fujimoto, Honda's Senior Chief Engineer]: "We hope to have the production capacity within at least ten years to produce this car at under 10 million yen ($94,000 U.S. dollars). Therefore,I think you and I can look forward to waking up one day in the next ten years and stepping into this very car in the morning." While only two cars will be available for the leaders' summit to ride, the automaker is targeting lease sales of about 200 FCX Clarity cars in the first three years in both Japan and the United States.
