PS3 switch mod (loads PS2 imports / backups on PS3!) Found this mod on the afterdawn forums, pretty easy stuff to install/uninstall. Credits go to pizzag. I wouldn't have considered installing the switch had I been able to run my PS2 original import games in the first place. (that i PAID for, and sometimes huge sums, SONY) So if any Sony exec sees this, take note, if you want to limit piracy, at least let people WHO BOUGHT PS2 IMPORT GAMES ENJOY THEM ON THEIR EXPENSIVE PS3s! (otherwise they will find methods which might lead to piracy, this mod being the perfect exemple :p) Well, now that i have the mod installed, i might as well run backups.. but hey i'm not responsible for what YOU, reader, do. Koreans Rally Against U.S. Beef Imports CHAN: Thousands of South Korean cattle farmers held a rally against the import of U.S. beef yesterday. Their agriculture ministry announced that it would relax import regulations. STORY: South Korea's beef industry has denounced the import of U.S. beef. Thousands of stock raisers rally in front of the agricultural ministry in Gwacheon, Seoul. They are afraid for their industry since Washington agreed to improve its safety standards by toughening animal feed regulations. That opened the way for South Korea's agriculture ministry to relax regulations on importing U.S. beef. The head of South Korea's beef association, Nam Ho-gyung, condemns South Koreans for willingly accepting U.S. beef. [Nam Ho-gyung, Hanwoo Beef Association]: "The U.S. Bush administration, along with the Senate and the House, are aggressively looking for ways to sell their beef using free trade agreements, and the country succeeded. We're living in a country which is crazy about buying U.S. beef." South Korea currently imports only boneless beef from US cattle younger than 30 months as a result of a case of mad cow disease in the United States in 2003. The protesters are accusing President Lee Myung-bak of risking South Koreans' health by allowing American beef in despite fears of mad cow disease. South Korean opposition politicians and activists are urging the government to heed public concerns about the safety of US beef. They are calling for a re-negotiation of a deal Seoul signed with Washington last month to resume US beef imports. Lee Sang-yu, Gen-Director of Liberal Democratic Labor Party, said, "We'll run the risk of importing mad cow disease. It's obvious that the people are concerned, and that they had to get together for the massive candlelight vigil because they feel their health and security are in serious danger." But a senior agriculture ministry official rejected the mounting calls for the government to scrap the agreement. Other officials and medical experts later said US beef is safe to eat. Last month, South Korea agreed to reopen its market for US beef, scrapping nearly all previously-insisted quarantine regulations to guard against mad cow disease. The deal, which came just hours before President Lee Myung-bak held his first summit with US President George W.
