Vodafone Live Music Awards 08 London: 18 September 2008 A long way off-patch today, to Brixtons Carling Academy where the great and the good from the UKs vibrant music scene gathered for the Vodafone Music Awards. No signs of the gloom and doom rampant on newscasts here. Despite the chill in the air there were plenty of fans, happily not so many as is normal at a gig in Leicester Square and good news for me. Many of the young stars were happy to spend time with fans doing the usual; autographs and two-heads photos to make their mates jealous. F1 racing genius Lewis Hamilton showed but couldnt be persuaded to come near the fanline. He talked to the media though which allowed me to get some great shots. Big with the crowd were the gorgeous Pussycat Dolls having a night off from their gigs to wow the waiting ones.
