Monotype Tournament FINALS: Poison vs Fighting Here it is, the big bang of them all. Don't go thinking "Oh, poison vs fighting, piece of cake" Because monotype battles are not played like normal battles. It's not like he's gunna use only Fighting moves "BECUZ IT R STABB!!!11", that's stupid. The type determines your options of pokes, and that's really about it. Standard movesets and thought process is out the window. That said, I was very nervous for this battle. He packs a LOT of power with stuff like Breloom, Infernape, Lucario, Machamp, GALLADE, MEDICHAM, Hitmons, Blaziken, stuff like that. However--as I've said before. All teams in a monotype tournament are easy to sweep. I had the advantage in the way that his fastest poke is Infernape, I am blessed with a Crobat and Gengar. Start your engines. Pokemon DP Monotype Battle - Someone(Water) Vs とらぶる(Flying) A standard monotype battle between me and my friend (Someone). This is my first time playing a monotype battle, and I have to admit it was quite fun. The rules for Monotype battle is the same as Standard Rules except you have to use the same type pokemon. You're allow 1 different type so you don't get 6/0'd. I used Monotype Flying, while my friend used Monotype Water. Monotype Tournament Round-1. Poison vs Ice The monotype tournament. 16 players, each choose a different type and stick with it the whole way. I wanted to pick Fighting or Water myself, but alas I was not there in time and I decided to choose Poison. Why poison? Because 5/6 of your pokes must share your chosen type, and only with poison could I find a mix of tanks/sweepers with a wide variety of strategy between pokes--and I believe poison type is vastly underrated. Plus, I wanted it to be even more epic to win matches if I picked the "worst" type as opposed to something "good" So here it is!
