Opaque - Part 1 My second feature-length film. This one focuses on racism, diversity and interracial dating. It was filmed from June 2005 to August 2006 in and around Aston, Upper Darby, West Chester and West Chester University. Plot Summary: Being raised in an interracial family their whole lives, and spending most of their time hanging out with Sun Valley High School nerds Mitch and Nate (Mitch Donaberger and Nate Walsh), step-siblings Kiera (Vy Cu) and Randy Morris (Doug Rowell) never experienced racism in their small town of Aston, PA. However, when Randy goes to college and meets his roommate, Jay Benton (Shane Daniels), the two begin to discover prejudice for the first time. As Jay begins to fall for Kiera, tension builds as Jay's cousin, a gang leader named Hayden (Arie Mangrum) tries to take control of Jay's family (Darlene and Donnie Thomas). He will go to all measures to uphold his family's honor and stop Jay's relationship, by any means necessary. Also starring: Bryan Trout, Liz Finnegan, Rick Thomas, Gwen Cu, Dave Pierdomenico and Mike Volpe. Jungle Music: Aquasky - Opaque The Cosmic Lounge presents Jungle Music: 'Opaque' by Aquasky. "Aquasky is a breaks and jungle group comprised of Dave Wallace, Kieron Bailey & Brent Newitt. In early 1995 they got together to produce their own music. Shortly afterwards they sent a demo tape to moving shadow records and the seeds of a musical alliance were sown. The first single 'Dezires / Images' (Shadow 64) was released three months later and remixed by Krust (Shadow 64R). Originally a drum and bass outfit the trio have more recently become involved in the breaks scene originally using the moniker Aquasky vs. Masterblaster to denote their breaks projects and retaing Aquasky for Drum & Bass. The addition of Masterblaster however led to great confusion amongst fans who kept looking for a new member. Due to this Masterblaster has now been dropped and everything is once again being released under the name Aquasky. The trio are also responsible for creating and running the Passenger label established in 1997 (as well as its sister label 777 established in 2004) which continues to release their style of heavy Drum & Bass influenced breaks.
