A super 8 kodachrome summer weekend in Rome, Italy. It was a super hot summer: August 2003 in Rome, Italy (fantastic place too!). Shot some nice rolls - actually my last stocks of Kodachrome K40 super 8 film with a compact BRAUN NIZO 156XL MACRO camera & finally got round to getting them telecined & edited only this year. Wir haben dich tanzen gesehen und wir kennen dein Problem. Du versuchst so angestrengt zu beweisen was du weißt. Dreh dich einfach im Kreis. Bernd Begemann (* 1. November 1962) ist Sänger, Gitarrist und Entertainer aus dem ostwestfälischen Bad Salzuflen. Erste Erfolge erntete Begemann mit seiner Band „Die Antwort", mit der er im Jahr 1987 den Longplayer 1987 produzierte. Begemann nutzte den Erfolg dieser Band, um zusammen mit Bands aus seiner Heimat aufzutreten. Das waren vor allem die Bands um das Fast-Weltweit-Label, aus denen dann unter anderem Blumfeld, Die Sterne und Die Braut haut ins Auge hervorgingen. Er hatte großen Einfluss auf die Hamburger Schule. Seit Auflösung dieser Formation tourt Begemann, einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit noch immer unbekannt, als One-Man-Show durch die deutschen Clubs. Regelmäßig erscheinen seither seine Solo-Alben. Er lud 1996 beim NDR in drei Sendungen Underground-Stars (Tocotronic, Freie Berliner Ischen und Ja König Ja) in sein Wohnzimmer ein („Bernd im Bademantel"), trat bei der WDR-Sendung „Kanzlerbungalow" auf und spielte kleine Rollen in Kinofilmen. 2004 bis 2006 wurde Begemann beim Hamburger Label „Grand Hotel van Cleef" unter Vertrag genommen und ist seitdem mit seiner Band „Die Befreiung" unterwegs. Besetzung: Bernd Begemann (Gesang, Gitarre), Ben Schadow (Bass), Kai Dorenkamp (Keyboard), Achim Erz (Schlagzeug). Mit seinem Bassisten Ben Schadow und dem Autor Benjamin Maack bespricht er jede Woche Kinofilme im Podcast „Ohrensessel". Bernd Begemann lebt mit Frau und Tochter in Hamburg. Canon's Best Super 8 Cameras Many consider the Canon 1014 XL-S and 814 XL-S to be among the best Super 8 cameras ever made. Introduced in 1979, these were the final top-end cameras marketed by Canon before the market shifted to video in the early 1980s. Both models were similar, differing only in maximum zoom (10x for the 1014 and 8x on the 814) and a few extraneous bells and whistles on the 1014. They can record sound, although Kodak discontinued Super 8 sound cartridges in 1998. Both cameras use a digital timing circuit that ensures that they run quite close to the indicated filming speed. This is quite a departure from traditional designs that offered not-so-perfect electro-mechanical timing. The lenses are sharp and fast (f/1.4 in both cases), and the viewfinder features excellent split-image focusing like you'd expect to find in a vintage SLR still camera. The 1014 XL-S typically sells for $100-$200 more than its little brother, but I actually prefer the 814. The smaller lens weighs a bit less and it's not missing any absolutely necessary features.
