Hannibal and Clarice- "Savin Me" This is the most unique video of mine which depicts myself and the Athena whom I so dearly worship. The video portrays my own view, and not from dear Clarice's as one would expect. I apologize about the low quality of the clips in the video, but due to unavoidable circumstances involving my machine, or otherwise lack-of, they're all I have come to possess. I would also like to say that this video one has no Julianne Moore in it; it is strictly the Clarice portrayed by the lovely Jodie Foster. If you haven't read the book, but don't care about spoilers, then by all means, please continue! :) A re-telling of the story of Snape's Redemption: This video reveals why he left Voldemort in the first place. ACTUAL BOOK PLOT: Severus Snape was Lily Evans' (Potter)'s best friend in childhood. After a while of just being friends, Snape had developed genuine love for her. He lost Lily's friendship after she realized that he had gotten into the dark arts and became a Death Eater. Hearing Trelawny's prophecy about Harry Potter, Snape knew that Voldemort would kill Lily in order to kill her son. He begged Voldemort to spare her, but Voldemort refused. As a result, Snape secretly left Voldemort and vowed to assist Dumbledore in protecting the surviving son of his one true love, Lily Evans. Red Dragon trailer Trailer from the 2002 Hannibal Lecter film "Red Dragon", starring Anthony Hopkins, Edward Norton, Ralph Fienns, and Philip Seymore Hoffman. Special Agent Will Graham is called out of retirment by the FBI to assist in capturing a killer who calls himself "The Great Red Dragon". After failing to solve the case, Graham knows he must face his deepest fear and consult the man who attempted to kill him several years earlier: Dr. Hannibal Lecter, the brilliant, caged monster who was famous for his horrific crimes of cannibalism. Lecter seems willing to assist Graham with the case, however, the vengeful genius has more sinister plans in store for the seasoned agent. Based off of the first terrifying novel by Thomas Harris: See Hannibal Lecter as he was introduced in the series! TRIVIA: *A movie called "Manhunter" was released in 1986, starring William Petersen (Gil Grissom: CSI), and Brian Cox (Mr. Striker, X Men 2) that was based off of the Red Dragon book. Petersen played Will Graham in the movie, while Cox played Hannibal "Lecktor". *While filming this movie, Hopkins was channel surfing one day and came upon Silence of the Lambs on AMC. He then realized that he had used a different voice for Silence of the Lambs then he was using for filming during this movie. He stated in an interview that he was praying that no one would notice it ^.^' (Fans did, of course) *Hopkins has stated that this Lecter is his favorite one out of the three that he's done. *Hopkins wasn't sure if he wanted to do Lecter for this movie. He'd had enough of the character by HANNIBAL, which was released a year earlier. *The same guy that designs the tattoos in the TV show Prison Break designed the massive tatoo that the killer has on his back in this movie. *Hopkins had to lose 25 lbs for this movie, and for part of Hopkins' appearence, the original plan was to digitally de-age him so he would look younger than his Silence of the Lambs counterpart. This plan was discarded for unknown reasons, but most people have stated it was a budget issue. Severus Snape - Everybody's Fool A video about my favorite Harry Potter character, Severus Snape. I chose this song because in my opinion it fits Snape PERFECTLY. Snape fools everyone because no one ever really knows what his intentions are: is he truly dedicated to Dumbledore? Or is he a devout follower of Voldemort? Personally, I think that Snape is deeply disturbed, but solely devoted to Dumbledore. Dumbledore wasn't stupid, and if Snape was truly on Voldemort's side, I honestly doubt that he could've mislead Dumbledore for as long as he did, even with his extraordinary ability in Occlumency. Dumbledore, knowing that Snape had reformed and was no longer with Voldemort, decided to hatch an elaborate plan: Knowing that he was getting old and that Voldemort wanted him dead, decided to have Snape kill him, so that Snape could earn Voldemort's respect and get close to him. Dumbledore knew that Snape was a very powerful wizard, and that he was Harry's only chance against Voldemort. Dumbledore saw Harry as being young and inexperienced, and knew that he would probably be killed if and when he did fight Voldemort, so he employed Snape to assist Harry when the final duel between Harry and Voldemort eventually did come. Snape however objected to this plan because he did not want to have to kill Dumbledore (the argument that Hagrid overheard that night in book six), but Dumbledore convinced him that it was the only way to help Harry; and Dumbledore pleading that night in the tower was actually him begging for Snape to kill him and follow through on the plan. There are two scenes in the novel that paralell eachother: *Harry's reaction to himself having to feed Dumbledore the potion. *Snape's reaction to Dumbledore's pleading in the tower. There are two key sentences in the book, one in each of those scenes. The sentences explain the character's reactions to Dumbledore's request, and they are fundamentally identical: Both sentences mention "revoltion" and "hatred" Harry felt revoltion and hatred at himself for having to feed Dumbledore the potion, and Snape's expression to seeing Dumbledore pleading was "revoltion and hatred". I believe that these sentences paralell each other for a reason, perhaps Snape was revolted at himself for having to kill Dumbledore, just like Harry was revolted at himself for feeding Dumbledore the potion. And also I note that Snape lifted his wand only AFTER Dumbledore started pleading. This to me indicates that Dumbledore was not pleading for his life, he was pleading for his death. (My two cents, at least). :D ****EDIT****: Well, after reading the book, my theory proved to be mostly true. Enjoy!
