Yeah thats right, beat that. 2) Have the most stable parkjet ever in high alpha. High alpha or a high angle of attack is when the plane is flying horizontal while its nose it up at like a 45 degree angle. 3) I want to have a super stable platform for aerial photography. 4) This will be MY first plane since 2005! What I mean by this is all the planes I have designed over the past few years I never got to keep. By the time you saw the video I had already pulled all the parts off it and started on the next plane. This will be my plane that I fly and keep. Since it will have super speed, super maneuverability, and super stability at slow speeds I imagine I will keep it around for awhile. Within a couple weeks I'll have some video of the next prototype. They are perfect for test flying or doing vectoring thrust. Get them if you are tired of more of those cheap blue ones. http://www.graysonhobby.com/catalog/product_info.php?ref=3&products_id=414&affiliate_banner_id=2 And here are the PARKJET MOTORS I am using. I use them for all my parkjets. They have the best price to performance ratio of any I have tired by far. What I am up to here in this video is I am trying to find the BEST platform for high alpha. Ya know, when you fly level and your nose is way up. I want it to be stable all the way up to 70 degrees. So far I have been able to stabilize the pitch, now I am just working on the roll. What I am doing is just chopping, hacking, and modifying this plane and trying different wing configurations. Delta wings, forward sweeping wings, straight wings, canards, swing out canards, swing wings, etc. Once the plane tells me what configuration is best for super high stable high alpha, I will then make the next test model based on those numbers, see. When this project is all done I plan to have a super parkjet with unmatched maneuverability AND stability... It just takes along time to get there. The bus took 14 prototypes and 2 years, so this plane could be a while... I'll keep ya posted. Dave Powers . . Its has a all depron nose that is super strong. Holds up to crashes much better than expected, I am very happy with how this one turned out. See the above link for more info on this plane. Yes, I know it looks like we are a couple of dopes crashing a beautiful jet, but here is what we are testing: 1) Stability at slow, medium, and high speeds 2) Wing Loading 3) Maneuverability 4) Thrust Vectoring 5) And the most fun, crash testing to expose any weak spots so they can be strengthened. Also, we like to see just how far we can push it and still have it actually fly. A tremendous amount of data is gained for present and future projects when an aircraft is pushed to and past its limits. I'll post part 2 here when its up next weekend.............. What happens is just amazing and is a new record for even us. For now, if you have time, here is a couple of our old videos from 2006/2007 of some flight testing of our original F-22 project. VTOL RC Flying School!! Here is a very good RC heli to get! http://www.rcpowers.com/Beginners/EskyDauphin-About.htm The best helis are the 4ch ones! Don't get a 2ch or 3ch, they are impossible to control without lots of modifications! This here is a cheap 2ch heli that I got from the link above. Its very hard to control stock cause you only have throttle and yaw (twist) control. You can't control the pitch (forward/backward) or roll (tilt side to side). So what I did was take the stock heli body off it and build a bus body around it with 3mm depron. I made it somewhat nose heavy so it wants to go forward. This made it more controllable. Its not really thrust vectoring but it has prop-wash blowing over the control surfaces and some guys call that "thrust vectoring" and I don't know what else to call it. Anyway, its just a simple plane with some different ideas we are trying out. For every successful plane we come out with, it takes about 10 designs that don't work so well. Its nice to do these weekly videos so everyone can see that we are dopes that crash just as much as everyone else.
