Tom - Butterflies and Hurricanes Piano Solo Finally back again with another video! This time I play the piano solo of "Butterflies and Hurricanes", originally by Matthew Bellamy, a marvellous pianist of one of my favorite bands. I've recorded this video with a digital camera instead of my webcam (such as last time). I'm very pleased with the results of the audio and video quality. It was hard to find a proper camera angle, due to the fact that my keyboard really sits in the corner of my room. In the end it all worked out though. Now about the solo; I've only been playing this beautiful instrument for a few months, so there might be a few things here and there that could use some finetuning. Like I've said before - if you don't like it, that's fine. Just keep the comments constructive. Anything that is blatantly insulting will be removed. I hope you'll enjoy this vid. Tom - Classical Gas Figured it's about time to keep the subscribers (hopefully) satisfied. I covered Mason Williams' amazing instrumental, called Classical Gas. I did it on electric guitar though, given the fact that my classical guitar is quite old and not very pleasing to play. I added some chorus, reverb and compression. What you're hearing is the direct line in from my guitar. On a side note - I'm sorry that the video isn't exactly running 30fps. I've just got this cam and I'm still trying to work things out. I hope my future videos can be a bit more fluent. It all comes down to the music though, right? There are some minor mistakes here and there. Anyway, tell me what you think. If you don't like it, that's fine - just keep the comments constructive. Anything that is just blatantly insulting will be removed, everything else will not be removed (unless it's spam ofcourse). Simon & Garfunkel - Old Friends From my personal favorite concert in Central Park, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel singing Old Friends. The vocals are just amazing. Someone requested the lyrics, so here they are: OLD FRIENDS LYRICS: Old friends, Old friends Sat on their park bench Like bookends. A newspaper blown though the grass Falls on the round toes Of the high shoes Of the old friends. Old friends, Winter companions, The old men Lost in their overcoats, Waiting for the sunset. The sounds of the city, Sifting through trees, Settle like dust On the shoulders Of the old friends. Can you imagine us Years from today, Sharing a park bench quietly? How terribly strange To be seventy. Old friends, Memory brushes the same years Silently sharing the same fears BOOKENDS LYRICS: Time it was and what a time it was it was, A time of innocence a time of confidences. Long ago it must be, I have a photograph Preserve your memories, theyre all thats left you 59TH STREET BRIDGE SONG (FEELIN' GROOVY) LYRICS: Slow down, you move too fast. You got to make the morning last. Just kicking down the cobble stones. Looking for fun and feelin' groovy. Ba da, Ba da, Ba da, Ba da...Feelin' Groovy. Hello lamp-post, What cha knowin'? I've come to watch your flowers growin'. Ain't cha got no rhymes for me? Doot-in' doo-doo, Feelin' groovy. I've got no deeds to do, No promises to keep. I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep. Let the morning time drop all its petals on me. Life, I love you, All is groovy. Tags: Paul Simon Art Garfunkel Old Friends |
