Paraguayan poor battle for land reform 15-Aug-2008 Paraguay's new president has been sworn in, bringing an end to more than six decades of one-party rule. Fernando Lugo, a former bishop, once led anti-government protests and fought for peasant rights. Key to his victory was his promise of land reform.
